Licata’s first training course with Onyx Pro

Licata Coffee Consultants recently opened their new facilities in China.
Pete Licata and Holly Bastin, founders of Licata Coffee Consultants, conducted their first Espresso and Coffee Making Course in China taking the occasion of the opening of their new Qingdao based facilities.
Pete Licata and Holly Bastin, founders of Licata Coffee Consultants 2014 and winners of the 2014 World Barista Championship, conducted their first Espresso and Coffee Making Course in China taking the occasion of the opening of their new Qingdao based facilities.
Both Pete and Holly – well recognized in the barista world- talked about the factors that can vary from day to day and shot to shot when making coffee. These factors included brew ratios, tamper bases, dosing tools and the filter baskets you use. The duo highlighted useful tips on how to maintain your blend and allow it to adjust to factors such as humidity and coffee ageing.
They also talked about the importance of choosing the right coffee machine to help you get an unmatchable quality coffee into the cup. We were very proud they decided to teach the participants how to make awesome blends using the recently launched EXPOBAR Onyx Pro.

Licata Establishes their Brand in China
Licata also launched their brand in China, choosing the beautiful city of Qingdao. The facility is more than 500m2, a perfect location for the Licata Team’s first training camp outside the United States.
The company offers a wide range of courses for students from China and other Asian countries. These trainings are based on Pete and Holly’s research, knowledge, and hands on experience.
